USI - Unique Student Identification - Update

Monday, Jul 20, 2015 WPTC USI Student Information 0 Comments

In January 2015, any students enrolled in nationally recognised training are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

This number will be held on a national database linked with all of the students qualifications/enrolments completed in the future. This can be completed by the individual by visiting www.usi.gov.au. Alternatively, Workplace Training Centre Pty Ltd can complete on your behalf.

Nationally recognised training includes all WorkCover High Risk courses including the Boom lift over 11m, forklift, slewing and non slewing cranes, white card etc. Courses that issue a Statement of Attainment like the Work Safely at Heights and the Confined Space courses will also require a USI. Awareness and refresher courses are not Nationally Recognised Training courses and so do not require a USI.

At this stage any training done in 2015 will not go on your record until 2016.
